MARIUPOL
City of Mary, industrial and cultural center. Until recently, this 400,000-year-old city on the shores of the Azov Sea was alive and prosperous, providing 40% of Ukraine's metallurgical production. Oleksandr Sinkevych's video shows 25 Birds of Peace decorating the central square of the city.
But the Russian World came and turned Mariupol into hell. For almost three months, the Russians have been shelling the city continuously. The power of the projectiles fired in TNT equivalent in total exceeds the power of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. The number of civilian casualties, according to local authorities, is at least 20,000.
Now, instead of Mariupol, there are blood-stained ruins, among which about 100,000 people are fighting for their lives.
